Art Diary: Week Ending 16th June

10/06/2012

Writing most of the morning (mainly because I got badly distracted yesterday and didn’t do as much as planned). Odds and ends in the afternoon.

I added the background symbols to the first version of SHADOWS FROM STONES but decided not to start adding the main imagery.

Instead I start to add the evolving symbols to the first version of THE SCREAM – finishing the drawing stage of all the bands in one colour.

I added all the symbols in the second colour bands on THE SCREAM, which for some reason took longer than the first set – even though there was less to do. This work doesn’t look too bad now however.

I started drawing the symbols in the main area of the second version of THE SCREAM even though I had my head full of ideas for theatrical projects which I will never realise.

I finished drawing the symbols in main block on THE SCREAM – ALTERNATIVE VERSION and then started adding a second set in the background. I will complete this stage tomorrow.

I was out in the morning. On my return to my studio I completed the task of adding background symbols to THE SCREAM – ALTERNATIVE VERSION OR POSTER FOR A FESTIVAL OF STOPPED CLOCKS (elaborated title). I also detailed the remainder of the background. Next week I will paint all the images in with acrylic paint – all being well as I have got a million other things to do.

I meant to spend the day writing but I had an unbelievably late start after a protracted period of fiddling around on the computers. I finally finished everything very late in the afternoon.
