Art Ideas (2002): Week Ending 23rd June

Suddenly thought about writing down ideas. 5.00 in the morning and I cannot sleep:

  1. Suddenly thought about writing down ideas. 5.00pm in the morning and I cannot sleep: Colour clouds with dye, paint on them, project imagery on them, infiltrate them with coloured gases or make them produce coloured rain. Cut clouds into sections; join them together; distort, extend or contract them.

  2. Build a theatre on top of a cloud, build an art gallery on or in a cloud.
  3. Make clouds in the gallery, make fog, wind, rain or an unbearably hot sun.
  4. Coloured lakes and coloured rivers.
  5. Bounce sounds off all aspects of the landscape: permanent and ephemeral.
  6. Coloured clouds float over coloured rocks.
  7. Fires in glass cases, add chemicals to change colours.
  8. Fire inside a block of ice.
  9. Steam sculptures – abstract and figurative.
  10. Ice sculpture on a hot plate.
  11. Theatrical piece for coloured smoke and hidden loudspeakers.
  12. Ballet for coloured smoke and an array of electric fans.
