Art Diary: Week Ending 4th August

30/07/2012

A day spent in the garden yesterday (Sunday), mainly dodging showers. Today I added more figurative imagery to BIG AND SMALL LEAVES; these figurative fantasy scenes evolve from the previously added initiating imagery – hopefully in a way that can be readily followed.

I worked most of the day on BIG AND SMALL LEAVES: adding figurative images to the large leaves and semi-abstract imagery to the small trees.

I completed all the images in the leaves and tree shapes on BIG AND SMALL LEAVES. There is a background stream of circles which will contain abstract shapes and words still to be done. However I will probably leave this until next week (I plan to work on SIMPLE SIMON: ELECTROMAGNETIC MEMORIES REFORM IN DEEP SPACE while listening to the cricket commentary tomorrow).

Worked most of the day on SIMPLE SIMON: ELECTROMAGNETIC MEMORIES REFORM IN DEEP SPACE. As I expect I have already stated, this is tedious work! Cricket appears to be very hard work too!

A lot of family things today so only a few hours painting. However I did finish the circle painting on SIMPLE SIMON: ELECTROMAGNETIC MEMORIES REFORM IN DEEP SPACE and then started the interstices.

Yet another trip to the vets then writing and miscellaneous work on the computer. Not a brilliant day but at least I am keeping everything moving.
