The Butterscotch Milkshake (Improvisation)

Spots on the space in front of my eyes
Stars above a water meadow headstone
A river across a meandering city stare
With straight lines on the hand print frieze

Holes in water pouring over a half face
Smiles in the craters of a staring moon
A snake squiggles in a too cold milk shake
While footsteps echo down a cornfield corridor
